All are welcome. This celebration is not rooted in a particular spiritual/faith/cultural tradition and will be led by Maria Walker, a member of the Friends of Dickinson Square Park. This sacred ceremony is intended to offer all who gather the opportunity to honor the entrance & awakening into the Spring season in a relaxing, reflective & celebratory environment.
What to bring? Your willingness to participate!

Dickinson Square Park Earth Day in Pennsport
Saturday, April 17, 2010
9am
Meet at the Parsons Building
There is quite simply nothing like Earth Day in Pennsport. The singular combination of river and land combine to make the area a powerhouse of environmental importance, and this is reflected by the deeds of the residents.
Come help us clean up the winter debris from the park so that the grass and flowers can grow, the playground can be a safe and clean and Dickinson Square Park can remain a favorite neighborhood destination, and a far more fresh one at that.
To have an idea of projected turnout, we'd appreciate it if you registered by clicking here.
Dickinson Square Park
Welcome to Dickinson Square Park, one of Philadelphia's great public spaces. Dickinson Square is located in the Pennsport section of South Philadelphia, and provides safe, comfortable and pleasing open space in a densely populated neighborhood.
Dickinson Square Park features several basketball courts, swing sets, jungle gym equipment, and large shade trees on 3 acres of classic turn-of-the-century park design.
Please feel free to visit soon and often. Grab lunch or dinner at one of the nearby shops. Come and see another side of South Philly, and discover that the neighborhood is more than the Italian Market and the Sports Complex.
