2013 Farmers' Market
The 2013 Dickinson Square Park Farmers' Market will be starting in mid-June, now tentative June 15th. Normally, it would begin around Memorial Day Weekend, but due to the cool Springtime weather, the produce wasn't quite ready for prime time. Such is the nature of farming.
But the farmers will be back. This year we'll have:
- Our good friends from Darmo Family Farms with produce as it comes into season.
- Our dear buds at Two Gander farms, offering seasonal produce plus mushrooms and local honey.
- The folks at St. Peter's Bakery, bringing awesome freshly-baked goodies of all kinds
- ... and the Guerrilla Ultima BBQ truck. If you've not had this BBQ, you must have some, It was recently mentioned in superlative by Philadelphia Magazine.
We'll provide more updates here as the date of opening approaches.
Dickinson Square Park
Welcome to Dickinson Square Park, one of Philadelphia's great public spaces. Dickinson Square is located in the Pennsport section of South Philadelphia, and provides safe, comfortable and pleasing open space in a densely populated neighborhood.
Dickinson Square Park features several basketball courts, swing sets, jungle gym equipment, and large shade trees on 3 acres of classic turn-of-the-century park design.
Please feel free to visit soon and often. Grab lunch or dinner at one of the nearby shops. Come and see another side of South Philly, and discover that the neighborhood is more than the Italian Market and the Sports Complex.
