Do you have a problem with a tree on your street? Would you like a tree planted on your street? Contact the Fairmount Park Commission!

The Fairmount Park Commission is responsible for the management of all street trees in the City of Philadelphia. Street trees provide needed shade in the spring and summer, help beautify neighborhoods, and generally provide for an more pleasing urban environment.

If a tree needs pruning, or otherwise maintained, or if you would like to plant a tree on your street, please contact the Fairmount Park Commission at the link below. There is a link to a Tree Maintenance Citizen Service Request Form.

Stop delivery of unwanted flyers to your home.

You know what they are: take-out or delivery menus, notices of houses-for-cash, supermarket coupon packets, and more. Unsolicted flyers and circulars quickly pile up around your property and/or your neighbors' property and ultimately end up contributing to the litter on Dickinson Square and the surrounding streets and sidewalks. The presence of litter invites yet more litter and creates a climate of apathy on which crime thrives.

So how to stop this source of unwanted litter? The City of Philadelphia has created a program in which property owners are provided with stickers explicitly indicating that flyers, circulars, and handbills are not to be delivered to that property. If they are, the sponsors of the advertisement are subject to a fine from the Department of Licenses and Inspection.

If you wish to receive one of these stickers to prevent flyers from being delivered to your property, please download the form from the link below, print out, and mail/fax to the address/number indicated.

This is an effective program, as anyone who participates in it can attest. It will go a long way to preventing junk flyers from being distributed to your home, and from producing unsightly and unnecessary litter and trash on streets and sidewalks.
